Gas cylinder explosion kills one in Maputo

One person died and four others contracted minor to serious injuries following the explosion of a gas cylinder in an apartment on Karl Max Avenue in Maputo.
The explosion caused a fire to break out.
No one was inside the apartment concerned at the time, but the door was half open and the explosion reached people in the hallway.
Firefighters arrived to put out the fire but came in for some criticism for their hoses being very obviously holed.
Five victims were evacuated to Maputo Central Hospital, which confirmed later that one of them had died.
