GABINFO activates platform to counter rumours and fake news – Rádio Moçambique

Mozambique’s press regulator and Information Office (GABINFO) has activated a computer platform called CREDIVEL to combat rumours and false news, Radio Mozambique reports today.
The online platform will check news content for veracity, National Director of Information and Communication at GABINFO, Mendes Mutenda, said this morning on Radio Mozambique’s Café da Manhã programme.
“We are trying all kinds of ways to combine all the elements, so that the public can consult the website and ascertain the veracity of dubious information,” Mutenda revealed on the programme.
The credível [credible] site can be consulted via: www.credivel.gov.mz.
