The project to build one-stop border crossings between Malawi and Zambézia province at Milange and at Ponta do Ouro between South Africa and Maputo province, has been suspended, due to lack of funds.
The World Bank, which is promoting the project, claims to have no funds to make the initiative viable, according to the coordinator of Infrastructure, Trade and Connectivity for Southern Africa, Paulo Baúque, who spoke exclusively to Radio Mozambique in the city of Tete.
