Frelimo Central Committee may analyse “Samora Machel Júnior case” – report

The Frelimo Central Committee meeting scheduled for March 22 to 24 may provide an opportunity for analysing the case of party member Samora Machel Júnior, who is facing disciplinary proceedings following his candidacy for the 2018 municipal elections as head of list for AJUDEM.

In an interview with STV, Frelimo spokesman Caifadine Manasse admitted that the case might be discussed during the Central Committee’s third session.

And given that, in certain circles, there is talk of a possible expulsion of Samora Machel Junior due to the offence committed, Manasse says that Frelimo has its own instruments which regulate this sort of cases.

Stv has learned that Samora Machel Júnior has already been notified of the disciplinary proceedings opened against him by the Frelimo Verification Committee, the party body responsible for internal discipline.
