Paratus Mozambique powers back onto the grid for September Super Picanto Cup

The Mozambican Football Federation (FMF) said in a statement yesterday that four members of the national football team delegation, due to travel to Lisbon today, have tested positive for Covid-19.
According to the FMF statement, the confirmed ‘Mambas’ cases include both players and support staff, who will as a result not be joining the group departing for the 30 September to 13 October internship in Portugal.
Without revealing names, the FMF confirmed that the positive cases are now in total isolation, in strict compliance with health standards.

Following the COVID-19 tests carried out last Sunday (27) to the Mambas delegation, to participate in the preparation stage of the AA selection in Portugal, the Mozambican Football Federation (FMF) hereby informs the public that positive cases have been detected, out of a total of 30 tested.
According to the results shared to FMF by the National Health Institute on Tuesday afternoon, four members of the national team tested positive for COVID-19, among them athletes and support staff.
The members of the delegation with a positive result in the tests in question are in total isolation according to the rules of Health. Therefore, they will not be able to join the working group on the internship in Portugal from 30 September to 13 October.
The Executive Board of the FMF, on behalf of the entire national football movement, wishes all of the persons affected a speedy recovery.
FMF calls upon all citizens to scrupulously comply with the rules for preventing and combating COVID-19, which are widely disseminated by national health authorities.
