FNB Mozambique is once again sponsoring the 7th Mozambique Gas & Energy Summit & Exhibition, taking place from 14 – 15 September 2022 at the Joaquim Chissano International Conference Center in Maputo.
The event themed ‘Fostering Global Partnerships, Sustainable Security & Economic Growth’ is officially endorsed by the Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy Mozambique (MIREME) and co-organised in partnership with the National Hydrocarbon Company (ENH).
FNB Mozambique´s representative Jonathan Ross will speak on “Financing Mozambique´s Energy sector” and the role of banks and sovereign funds in the sector.
Jonathan Ross, Head of Oil and Gas Coverage at Rand Merchant Bank (RMB), the Corporate and Investment banking arm of FirstRand Bank Limited – sister company of FNB Mozambique said: “The sustainable security, successful investment into and economic growth of the resources sector in Mozambique requires targeted funding, global partnerships and a bank that understands the context and development goals of the country.
“RMB, in partnership with FNB, is proud to have funded large scale projects in the region, and, along with our trusted local partners, is able to provide ongoing insight and deals structured according to our clients and the wider industry’s needs”.
FNB Mozambique’s Head of Resources Ducla dos Santos added: “The Summit is the perfect opportunity for governments, operators, IOCs and small to medium sized businesses to assess the constantly evolving energy landscape and explore ideas and approaches that will ensure long-term future success for Mozambique and its citizens within the global energy community.”
The summit aims to foster further partnerships for economic growth in the region within the resources and energy sector.
