Following the recent rains in the southern region of the country, FNB has donated several products to the Makobo Platform, which will be used to aid flood victims in the district of Boane.
This donation is mainly made of food products, hygiene items and clothing, part of which was the result of employees’ donations and the rest from the bank itself, which offered ingredients that will ensure the confection of over 3,300 meals to be distributed among the affected families in Boane and its surroundings.
According to Cláudia Chirindza, FNB Mozambique’s Head of Marketing and Communication, “this initiative will not solve all the problems that this situation has created, but we hope that it will, at least, help to minimize the basic needs faced by the impacted families during the emergency and reconstruction period. A small gesture from each of us can make a huge difference at this critical moment when all assistance is appreciated.”
Ruy M. Santos, founder of Makobo Platform says, “it is a great honour and a huge privilege to be able to count on the support, generosity, solidarity and availability of FNB and its staff. Thank you for believing in us and in our mission, for helping us reach a growing number of people, where and when it is really needed. Gratitude. Together we are more.”
“We thank the Makobo Platform for acting as the channel to reach our help to those in need and the FNB family, who have joined in supporting the flood victims by contributing with various products allowing us to materialize this donation,” concluded Cláudia.
