First Lady says society should help women in business

Speaking on Wednesday at the launch of Women’s Month, the First Lady of the republic urged society to promote the integration of women in the economy.

Isaura Nyusi said that Mozambican women had achieved a visible presence in politics, but needed to be better able to find work in the private sector.

This year, International Women’s Day on March 8 will be celebrated with the theme: “Planet 50/50 2030: Accelerating the pace of gender equality”, while Mozambican Women’s Day on April 7 will be guided by the motto: “In peace, we accelerate the pace towards gender equality”.
