UNICEF warns of "volatile and unpredictable" situation in northern Mozambique

The embassies of Finland, Norway and Sweden in Mozambique are to hold a joint reception today in celebration of their respective ‘National Days’. The event highlights excellent cooperation between the Nordic countries, based on the principles of inclusion, innovation and sustainability, and will hear an opening speech by Maleiane, Minister of Economy and Finance of Mozambique.
Openness, trust, creativity, sustainability and compassion are common Nordic values that govern the union between the Nordic countries. The Nordic countries lead various economic, social and environmental rankings worldwide. Finland has one of the best education systems in the world, according to the International Student Assessment Programme (Pisa); Norway has the best Human Development Index (HDI) according to data from the Human Development Report 2016 and Sweden, in turn, is considered one of the world leaders in innovation, according to data from the Global Innovation Index (IGI) of 2017.
National Day celebrations will entertain about 400 guests from government, civil society, the diplomatic community, the public and private sectors, the media and Nordic citizens living in Mozambique
The event has the participation and support ABB, Bayport, Volvo Warehouse and Kone, and will take place at 6:00 p.m. today at the Montebello Indy Congress Hotel.
