A delegation of Filipino businesspeople is in Mozambique where they are eyeing investment in the southern African country’s agricultural sector, a local official said on Tuesday. Confederation of Economic Associations (CTA) vice chairperson Castigo Nhamano said the visiting Filipino businessmen are interested in investing in banana processing in Mozambique.
“They are interested in banana processing in Mozambique and in the coming days will visit Gaza province. As we know, it is an agricultural province, we will coordinate with our colleagues from Gaza that is to receive them,” he said.
A representative of the Philippine business delegation, Senen Perlada said they wanted to explore existing opportunities in Mozambique.
He said they have so far identified several areas of collaboration, especially in the area of trade.
