Mozambique’s National Football Team, the Mambas, yesterday held their final training session at the Garden Arena before their Thursday 3:00 p.m. match against Uganda, in the fifth round of the African Group G campaign to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
The squad yesterday afternoon also inspected the match pitch at the Cairo International Stadium, but the Egyptian Football Federation did not allow any training to be held on the ground, either by the Mambas or the Cranes, the Ugandan team.
In the meantime, national football coach Chiquinho Conde has already started rehearsing tactics for today’s match with the good news being that all the players have been declared medically fit.
The fifth round of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup, at African level, began yesterday, Wednesday 19-03, with matches between Tanzania and Congo; Central African Republic and Madagascar; and Eswatini and Cameroon.
