Ferroviário da Beira reported this Tuesday that it was taking several preventative measures against the Covid-19 outbreak, including the temporary suspension of all sporting activities at the club.
In the note, the club reveals that, “within the scope of the prevention and mitigation measures of the risks arising from the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, and, in response to the appeals launched by government entities as well as the recent communications issued by the various national federations, the board of Clube Ferroviário da Beira is suspending all sporting activity”.
Clube Ferroviário da Beira also decided to close the gym, and to provide lectures related to the prevention of the pandemic to small groups using specialized health sector personnel on an ongoing basis.
Another measure comprises changing the normal working day of the administrative sector to six uninterrupted hours daily, in two shifts.
The measures come into effect immediately and indefinitely.
