Cultural events at the Fernando Leite Couto Foundation in Maputo will be suspended from 17 March to 17 April, a press release from the institution has announced.
The Foundation’s decision is in line with the preventative measures announced by the government, to avoid people crowding together and endangering public health.
“We will reassess, depending on the evolution of the situation, our position on cultural activities at the end of the period indicated above,” the press release adds.
The measures announced by the Fernando Leite Couto Foundation also involve the closure of its library to the public, but the administrative offices will continue to function normally.
