The Défense and Security Forces (FDS) neutralized yet another leader of the terrorist group operating in Cabo Delgado: an individual identified as Issar Washio, considered one of the commanders of the terrorist group and very close to the main leadership of the group.

The announcement was made on Friday (26.05) by the President of the Republic and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence and Security Forces, Filipe Nyusi, during the closing ceremony of the 43rd Police Basic Training Course, at the Practical School of Matalana, in Marracuene district, Maputo province.

President Nyusi said that he wanted to share news that he had received at the beginning of this week, even though he was outside the country.” It was the success that some of the colleagues – your colleagues from now on – colleagues who trained there where I closed the course this morning [special forces training school], on the 24th put out of fight one of the great commanders (very close to their commanders, Ibn or Óscar) a man named Issar Washio. In view of the successes that have been achieved in the fight against terrorism in Cabo Delgado, the head of state encouraged the defence and security forces to continue implacable in their actions.

On the occasion, the general commander of the PRM, Bernardino Rafael, explained that the corporation has enough staff to guarantee public order and security in the next ten years in the country, hence the need to interrupt its training for the next three years.

He stressed that it is unthinkable to train, build, equip and modernize all at once, hence the need to separate the moments, assuming that the pillar of training human resources is minimized.

“ Today we have manpower to build on, from our smaller sub-units, which is the sector, police station, squadron, district commands, provincial commands, units and sub-units of special and reserve forces, branch commands and all levels, territorial,” he said.

As Forças de Defesa e Segurança (FDS) neutralizaram mais um líder do grupo terrorista que actuava em Cabo delgado.

Trata-se de um, indivíduo identificado pelo nome de Issar Washio, tido como u dos comandantes do grupo terrorista e muito próximo da liderança principal do grupo.

O anúncio foi feito esta sexta-feira pelo Presidente da República e Comandante em Chefe das Forças de Defesa e Segurança, Filipe Nyusi durante a cerimónia de encerramento do quadragésimo terceiro Curso de formação básica da Policia, na Escola Pratica de Matalana, no distrito de Marracuene, província de Maputo.

“Uma das notícias que tive logo no inicio desta semana, mesmo estando fora do nosso território, foi o sucesso que parte dos colegas, já a partir de agora, vossos, de onde encerrei o curso com sucesso no dia 24, puseram fora do combate um dos grandes comandantes, muito próximo dos comandantes deles, o Ibn ou do Óscar, um tal chamado Issar Washio e mais seus comparsas, foram postos fora do combate. Foi notícia porque vínhamos encerrar, neste caso, em homenagem aos vossos colegas, preparados aqui no centro “ disse.

Perante os sucessos que têm sido alcançados no combate ao terrorismo em cabo Delgado, o chefe de Estado encorajou as forcas de defesa e segurança a continuarem implacáveis nas suas acções.

Na ocasião o comandante-geral da PRM, Bernardino Rafael, explicou que a corporação tem efectivo suficiente para garantir a ordem e segurança públicas, nos próximos dez anos no país, daí a necessidade de interrupção da sua formação, nos próximos 3 anos.

Frisou ser impensável formar, construir, equipar e modernizar de uma única vez, dai a necessidade de separar os momentos, assumindo que o pilar da formação dos recursos humanos está minimizado.

“ Hoje temos efectivos para potenciar a partir das nossas sub-unidades mais pequenas, que é sector, posto policial, esquadra, comandos distritais, comandos provinciais, unidades e sub-unidades das forças especiais e de reserva, comando de ramos e a todos os níveis, territorial”, afirmou.
