Thirty-five Portuguese companies have confirmed their attendance at the Maputo International Fair (Facim), the main event of its kind in Mozambique, the Portuguese ambassador said in the Mozambican capital yesterday.
“So far, we have indications that 35 companies will be present,” Maria Amélia Paiva told the press.
The Portuguese diplomat was speaking after a visit to the premises of the Confederation of Economic Associations of Mozambique (CTA) in Maputo.
Ambassador Paiva said the group represented several sectors of activity, as in previous years, and was working to make the 53rd edition of Facim more productive, highlighting the importance of the business relationship between Mozambique and Portugal.
“We are working hard to make our presence productive at the moment, with plenty of meetings with Mozambican companies,” she said.
According to official data, 580 Mozambican companies are expected to present at the 53rd edition of Facim, which will run from August 28 to September 3 in Marracuene, near the Mozambican capital.
In addition to Portugal, Germany, Angola, Botswana, Italy, France, Indonesia, Great Britain, Denmark, Ireland, Finland, Brazil, Iceland and Belarus have already confirmed their presence.
