Mozambique’s Prime Minister Carlos Agostinho do Rosario said yesterday at the Maputo International Fair (FACIM) that the government was aware of the increased supply of local products in the country. He went on say it was now necessary to secure better placement in the domestic and foreign markets for these goods, which would involve improving the quality of packaging.
The increased supply of local products was contributing to improved food security as well as to the stability of food prices in the internal market, the prime minister said.
“A well-packaged product gains added value and easily conquers competitive and increasingly demanding markets. These days, good packaging, besides being attractive, must also be environmentally friendly,” he said.
Carlos Agostinho do Rosario went on to talk about need to continue trying to secure quality certification of domestic products to ensure their placement in the increasingly demanding European, American, Asian markets.
