More than 10,000 businesses contacts were established during the fifty-second FACIM business expo, which ended on Sunday, according to Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Institute for Export Promotion Joao Macaringue.
Macaringue says foreign investors have expressed interest in areas as diverse as agriculture, fisheries, tourism, industry and commerce.
“A South African company identified partners in the tannery business, and is interested in processing Tete goat and crocodile skin. Poland, which came with a company that was searching for a partner in the commercial area, was interested in the desks that we produce in Tete, and already has a contact to export to India,” Macaringue said. “We are at a stage now where we are also selling our technology. That is very healthy.”
