On Sunday, UAE businesspeople expressed interest in investing in Mozambique in the sectors of renewables, health and information and communication technologies.
Mozambique Day and Mozambique UAE Business Forum
Mozambique Day highlights the country’s participation in Expo Dubai, reinforcing relations of friendship and cooperation between Mozambique and the UAE, seeking partnerships with the countries participating in the event, and showcasing the country’s economic potential in a way that will attract investment and foster business opportunities.
Mozambique will present several projects and will be represented from North to South, showing its investment opportunities with the emphasis on Agriculture, Energy, Infrastructure and Tourism.
Agostinho do Rosario will lead the official opening of the Mozambique-United Arab Emirates Business Forum at 2h30m pm today [local time], during which representatives of the Government and Mozambican business people will have the opportunity to present the investment potential of the country and interact with their counterparts from the United Arab Emirates. Healthy trade growth
Trade between our country and the United Arab Emirates is worth US$700 million per year, largely driven by the recent creation of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce in Mozambique.
Sustainability is the topic chosen by Mozambique for the Expo, which is why its pavilion is located in an area where other countries which have also decided to adopt this theme are located.
This edition of the Expo was to have taken place between October 2020 and March last year, but was postponed for a year following the outbreak of the Covid 19 pandemic, and for that reason retains the title, Expo Dubai 2020.
Today we are excited to celebrate Mozambique 🙌
