CREMOD: Mozambique delegation explores India's decentralized governance framework

During this week the European Union Military Assistance Mission in Mozambique (EUMAM MOZ) received the visit of the United Nations (UN) Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator for Mozambique, Catherine Sozi.
EUMAM MOZ Force Commander, Brigadier General Luís Barroso, welcomed Catherine Sozi, and also Paola Emerson, from the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, and Michelle Gersbach, from UN Department for Safety and Security, at the headquarters of the European mission, in Maputo.
In this meeting EUMAM MOZ Force Commander emphasize the work and impact that the mission has in Mozambique, highlighting the implementation of values and objectives aligned with the UN pillars. This initiative allowed the reinforcement of the continuous partnership between the institutions.
Catherine Sozi is currently the highest-ranking representative of the UN Development System in Mozambique, being previously UN Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator for Ethiopia. The Resident Coordinator is designated representative of the UN Secretary-General.
