Mozambique: Namibia's President arrives in Maputo for one-day working visit

The Mission Force Commander of the European Union Military Assistance Mission in Mozambique (EUMAM MOZ), Commodore César Pires Correia, was present yesterday at the official ceremony launching the Armed Forces Week of Mozambique (FADM), which commemorates 61 years since the beginning of the National Liberation Armed Struggle.
Presided over by the Minister of National Defence, Cristóvão Chume, and attended by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, General Júlio dos Santos Jane, among other dignitaries, the ceremony marked the start of a week dedicated to honouring the Mozambican Armed Forces. The programme includes a range of public activities, with special focus on 25 September.
EUMAM MOZ extends its congratulations to the FADM on this historic and meaningful anniversary for Mozambique and reaffirms its commitment to cooperation and support in strengthening the FADM’s operational cycle.
