The government in Eswatini has announced it will bring in a ban on the sale of alcohol from 1 July in an effort to contain the spread of coronavirus.
In a series of tweets, the government said that the measure will be introduced after a surge of coronavirus cases in the last two weeks.
Prime Minister: “Over the past two weeks we have seen an unfortunate surge of positive cases in the country which suggests that we have to review some of the easing measures to avoid overwhelming our health system.”
