Eni, through its subsidiary Eni Rovuma Basin, will contribute with USD 500,000 to the relief efforts in the central region of Mozambique linked to the Idai Cyclone. The sum will be destined to food support and to first care aid to the victims of the disaster.
Eni CEO Claudio Descalzi said that “in this hour of deep sadness, our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the victims and all the people of Mozambique to whom I wish strength and fortitude to rapidly recover from this tragic and unfortunate natural disaster”.
Eni has always shown support to emergency situations in Mozambique, such as the support to the victims of a flood in Gaza province in 2012.
