Eni Rovuma Basin, on behalf of Area 4 Partners, in collaboration with Instituto Superior Dom Bosco (ISDB) and Instituto Industrial e Comercial de Pemba (IICP), has successfully certified 27 trainers from Cabo Delgado Province in psycho-pedagogical areas. This initiative reinforces the Area 4 commitment on technical education and workforce development in Mozambique and it’s implemented within Coral South project’ Local Content Plan.
This certification will equip the trainers with essential pedagogical skills in key areas such as electricity, gas processing, automation, instrumentation, mechanics, ICT and accounting. In addition to these specialized areas, the certification also qualifies the trainers to teach at any vocational schools across Mozambique, expanding their impact on the national education system and ensuring they can effectively teach technical and vocational subjects.
This certification is aligned with the National Authority for Professional Education (ANEP) framework, which sets national standards for the vocational training sector, and will enhance trainers’ ability to transfer technical knowledge, engage students in practical learning, and match vocational education with industry needs. A total of 90 trainers and school staff have been trained and certified under this framework.
Through this program, Eni Rovuma Basin reaffirms its commitment to fostering socioeconomic development and creating opportunities for local communities in Cabo Delgado, by strengthening the local education system and promoting skills development. This initiative is in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
