Mozambique's Sovereign Wealth Fund receives US$200 million in H1
The Italian oil company Eni says it still intends opening at least one oil or natural gas exploration well in Area A5-A off the coast of Angoche in Nampula province this year.
According to ‘Notícias’, which cites a source from the National Petroleum Institute (INP) speaking within the framework of the programme agreed with the Mozambican government, the inauguration of the first well is scheduled for the last quarter of this year or the beginning of next.
Eni currently has an exploration platform working as part of the Coral South project.
