Eid al-Adha: UAE embassy donates 11 tonnes of meat to distressed families in Mozambique

The United Arab Emirates embassy is today and tomorrow donating meat to poor families in Maputo, Gaza, Zambézia and Nampula.
The initiative is called Kurban [ a term for animal sacrifice], and includes the sacrifice of animals on the occasion of the Muslim feast of Eid al-Adha today.
A statement from the United Arab Emirates embassy indicates that a total of 11 tonnes of meat will be distributed among 3,700 families.
