Mozambique: HCB records net profit of 14 billion meticais - AIM
Upgrades being implemented by te Electricity of Mozambique (EDM) in Maputo province under its Development and Access to Energy program (EDAP) will be worth in the region of US$36 million.
The project, whose implementation will take over 18 months, includes the construction of a substation in Muhalaze as well as 297 km of medium-voltage distribution network, 845 km of low-voltage network and the installation of 331 transformer posts.
A company source quoted by AIM adds that the program is financed by the World Bank in partnership with the French Development Agency, the European Investment Bank and the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries.
