Drug dealers and their ‘clients’ terrorize residents of Magoanine A, in Maputo – Watch

Residents of the Magoanine A neighbourhood are in a panic over robberies carried out by drug users.
The drugs are sold and consumed in houses throughout the neighbourhoods.
In Magoanine A, residents hide in their homes while suspected burglars stroll unhindered outside.
Families In the neighbourhood live in constant fear of seeing their children dragged down by drug abuse. Some have even sent their children to live elsewhere with relatives.
Recently, police in Maputo City detained 17 people, including drug users and sellers, who, to fuel their addiction, robbed and stole on public roads and in homes in the districts of Kamaxakene and Lhamanculo.
Magoanine residents are seeking intervention by police command in the city of Maputo.
