MozParks joins Mozambique's delegation to 2025 U.S.–Africa Summit in Luanda
The construction of a dry fruit processing plant in Morrumbene district, Inhambane province, has been completed.
The manufacturing unit has the capacity to produce one hundred tons of dried fruit per year.
The dry fruit will be sold in the domestic market initially, until the awarding of the Made in Mozambique origin seal opens export channels to other African countries and Europe.
The plant, which cost seven million meticais, was funded by an Italian NGO and processes mango, banana and pineapple. The cooperative intends to establish a second unit in Inharrime, also located in Inhambane province, the country’s largest pineapple-producing area.
