Assembly of the Republic deputies serving on the Committee on Social Affairs, Gender Technology and Social Communication are to receive extra training in extractive industry matters from today in the city of Matola.
The training aims to provide parliamentarians with knowledge about the environmental impact of the exploitation of natural resources and other constraints in the Mozambican context.
The training anticipates increasing legislative and oversight capacity in the exploitation of natural resources by inviting parliamentarians to reflect on the challenges facing the implementation of mining and petroleum laws.
The training is provided by experts from the Ministry of Mineral Resources.
