The death of former Maputo City Council Planning and Finance Councillor Célia Cumbe could be clarified within the next forty days.
Célia Cumbe was found dead on March 5 this year in circumstances yet to be explained at her residence in the municipality of Matola.
Maputo province’s chief prosecutor, Evelina Gomane, said that the data collection process was underway and would clarify the circumstances that led to the death of the former councillor for Planning and Finance.
“We have asked for the cooperation of the victim’s work sector and other information regarding the movements of the victim and her communication, and probably this way we will identify some suspect,” Gomane said.
According to the autopsy results, the hypothesis that the victim committed suicide has been ruled out.
