Cuba commemorates the 47th anniversary of diplomatic relations with Mozambique, based on respect, solidarity, and mutual support.
On Twitter, the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs ratified the will to continue strengthening the relations of cooperation and friendship between the two countries.
The ties between Cuba and Mozambique date from before 1975, the year when the African nation achieved its sovereignty.
Cuba collaborates with Mozambique in the healthcare sector, and in March last year, it sent professionals from the Henry Reeve International Contingent of Specialized Doctors to support the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
