Three people have died and four have been injured in crocodile attacks in Marromeu district, Sofala province, in the past two months.
The attacks took place in the Chueza and Malingapansi villages.
All the victims were fetching water from tributaries of the Zambeze River
The director of Economic Activity Services in Marromeu, Domingos Alfândega, said that the government had been urging communities to take special care when going to the river.
He added that work was underway to map those areas where crocodile attacks were most frequent.
