Crisitiano Ronaldo made history once again on Wednesday night in becoming the first player ever to score 100 Champions League goals for the same club. The Portuguese forward converted a first-half penalty against Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their last-16 tie at the Santiago Bernabeu to take his Champions League tally into triple figures for Real Madrid.
The goal also made him the only player in the competition’s history to score in each of the first seven games of a single campaign.

There was plenty of controversy surrounding the spot-kick with claims Toni Kroos went down to easily to influence the referee in the first place, as well as suggestions Ronaldo double-touched the ball before scoring.
However, replays of the incident seem to confirm the ball flicked up off the turf before Ronaldo struck it.
The 33-year-old has 115 goals in Europe’s premier club competition in total with 15 of those coming during his time at Manchester United. The Portuguese forward has won the competition on four occasions, while also being the only player to score in three separate finals.
