The Mozambican government has announced the creation of a credit line for support small and medium-sized companies (SMEs), designed to minimise the impact of the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic, Rádio Moçambique reports today.
A fact sheet with the criteria for accessing credit will be published within days, Minister of Economy and Finance Adriano Maleiane told parliament in a questions-to-government session held over a week ago (May 22).
“We [have] created a credit line for small and medium-sized companies. This credit line, which the state is putting in place, will be managed through the banking system, with clear rules, and will support economic recovery. The credit line will support agribusiness,” he said.
