Brazil’s president asks US to scrap tariffs in ‘friendly’ call with Trump

Lisboa – The Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP) expressed its “deep sorrow for the death of Mário Soares” in a press release posted on its web page.
“With the deepest condolences to the Portuguese people for the loss of their eminent citizen, the CPLP exalts the historical role played by President Mário Soares in the strengthening of the friendship, political dialogue and integration between the Portuguese-speaking countries, which culminated in the Constitution of the Organization in July 1996,” the note reads.
