The total number of death due to COVID-19 in South Africa is now at 48, according to the health ministry.
In the latest update, Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize says the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country is 2605.
“We also note that the number of tests being conducted continues to rise, with the total number of tests conducted to date being 95 060,” the update said.
Limpopo and the Eastern Cape have recorded their first deaths.
