The Head of State just addressed the nation. The third extension of the State of Emergency ends tonight,Filipe Nyusi said that he will sent to parliament a report on the past four months. and that “immediately after, decisions on the measures and strategies for the immediate future” would be taken. These will be announced by the Head of State in a new address to the nation.
Meanwhile, the President said, in the following days, people must continue to comply with all the measures in force during the state of emergency.
Speaking from Tete, Presient Nyusi stressed that the Government’s priority is to protect the life of Mozambicans and foreigners who live here.
The President of the Republic said that a phased return to normal activity should always take into consideration the evolution of the pandemic.
