The Head of State, Filipe Nyusi, will today addres the Nation in the context of the public calamity situation in which the country finds itself in order to prevent COVID-19.
According to a statement from the Presidency of the Republic, Nyusi’s intervention is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will be made from his office.
Addresses to the Nation have served to take stock and update preventive measures.
Yesterday, Mozambique recorded two more deaths from COVID-19. With the deaths reported, the number of deaths due to COVID-19 in May increased to 19. The number represents, nevertheless, a reduction of 40.6% in relation to the first 25 days of April, when the country registered 32 deaths.
At the moment, the country has 682 active cases and 69,117 previously infected persons already recovered from the disease.
