Covid-19: Nyusi calls meeting on Maputo city and province situation

President Nyusi held a meeting with leaders of the city and province of Maputo and other office holders yesterday to assess the impact of Covid-19 and the application of measures to prevent and combat the disease, a statement from the Presidency reads.
The participants discussed the most effective ways to respond to the pandemic in the two territories, which currently have the most cases of Covid-19 infection, hospitalisation and death in Mozambique.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Health (Armindo Tiago], the Secretaries of State for the city of Maputo [Sheila Santana Afonso], and for Maputo province [Vitória Diogo], Governor of Maputo Province [Júlio Parruque], the mayors of Maputo[ Eneas Comiche], of Matola [Calisto Cossa], and of Boane [Jacinto Loureiro] , and the Marracuene District Administrator [Shafee Sidat].
