We have the death of Ambassador Jean-Pierre Jhumun. He was on duty in Mozambique. It seems that he was a victim of COVID.
Jean-Pierre Jhumun was admitted to the hospital with health complications for some time and despite treatment, he did not survive.
Jean-Pierre Jhumun was ambassador of Mauritius to Mozambique, for about seven years.
He lived in Maputo with his son.
The Mauritian community in Mozambique remembers him as an ambassador of proximity, not hesitating to help his compatriots.
Jean-Pierre Jhumun was an accountant by profession.
