The provincial governments of Manica and Sofala have set up mandatory disinfection stations for passengers on National Roads 1 (EN1) and 6 (EN6), as part of efforts to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus.
Gondola Administrator Morgan Candeeiro witnessed the implementation on Wednesday of mandatory disinfection of passengers at the Inchope Crossing, urging the multi-sectoral team involved to carry out their work with the value of human life foremost in the minds.
“They come from Maputo, Beira, Nampula, Quelimane, and they stop here. We must make them, whether they want to or not, wash their hands, get chlorine – all the health obligations,” Candeeiro said.
