The Frelimo Political Commission has decided to postpone the meeting of the party’s Central Committee, initially scheduled for 20 to 22 March. It will meet on a later date, to be announced.
The decision comes in response to the new preventative measures announced by President Filipe Nyusi, which include a ban on indoor events involving more than 300 people.
The Frelimo Political Commission held its third extraordinary session on Sunday to consider Mozambique’s political, economic and social situation, a statement received yesterday by Radio Mozambique reads.
