The Confederation of Economic Associations (CTA) says that many companies in Mozambique are “suffocating” in the face of Covid-19.
Among the main obstacles, the CTA highlights lack of clarity in accessing the US$500 million credit line announced by the Bank of Mozambique.
The CTA presented its understanding of the impact of the coronavirus pandemic in the country in Maputo this morning.
While welcoming the government’s efforts to combat the disease, it was awaiting more concrete action in support of the private sector, which was already suffering huge losses.
