A seminar on technical cooperation between Mozambique and Brazil in the cotton sector started this Tuesday (16-05) in Maputo.
The event will serve as a mechanism to deepen ties in the sector.
The Mozambican and Brazilian governments have been running four cooperation projects in the cotton area since 2014. Two of these are bilateral, one runs in partnership with the World Food Program (WFP) and another with the International Labor Organization (ILO).
All four projects enjoy financial support from the Brazilian Cotton Institute (IBA), and have benefited residents of Tete, Nampula and Manica provinces.
