Inhambane province has 58 suspected coronavirus samples sent to Marracuene for testing still pending. Some of these samples are from contacts of people already diagnosed as suffering from coronavirus in the province.
By Tuesday, Inhambane province had sent more than 200 samples to the National Health Institute laboratory in Marracuene, Maputo province. Most of the samples came back negative, but there are still samples whose results have not yet reached the “land of good people”.
Health officials hope to receive results from some of the pending samples later this week.
Meanwhile, with two Covid-19 cases already recovered, the government of Inhambane says the fight must now be to combat discrimination and ensure the full recovery of all those still suffering from the disease.
