Mozambique: Poaching “virtually under control”

Biofund, within the scope of its Leadership Program for the Conservation of Mozambique (PLCM), which has as one of its goals attracting qualified young people into the conservation system, is launching its fourth call for candidates to its Pre-professional Internship Program.
This program is developed in partnership with the National Administration of Conservation Areas (ANAC) and the National Institute of Employment (INEP) – Secretary of State for Youth and Employment (SEJE).
The Pre-professional Internship Program provides young graduates with an opportunity to acquire knowledge and skills related to conservation, contributing to a conservationist awareness among young people, as well as to the training of future conservation leaders in Mozambique.
This program provides remunerated professional development opportunities for young graduates of Higher Education or Vocational Technicians (from the courses listed below) in order to actively contribute to the conservation of biodiversity in Mozambique.
The PLCM intends to recruit trainees who will be integrated in different institutions of the National System of Conservation Areas, including ANAC and public and private conservation areas, BIOFUND and conservation support institutions.
The interns selected will develop their internships in the 1st and 2nd semesters of 2023, and must be framed according to the demand of partner institutions throughout the period in question.
