As part of its program of assistance for community projects, the government of Japan has announced aid worth US$164,000 for two empowerment programs in Vilankulo and Cabo Delgado.
The programmes are the expansion of the Mangalisse Primary School in Vilankulo, Inhambane, to be implemented by CCS Italia Mozambico, and a project for the improvement of water supply for agricultural production in Cabo Delgado, to be implemented by the Aga Khan Foundation.
The Japanese government’s community projects assistance programme is designed to respond quickly to development needs and support community organizations, non-governmental organizations, schools and local governments.
The agreements were signed on Thursday, in Maputo.
