Citizen arrested in Nampula for threatening people with a toy pistol

An individual is being held by police at the First Police Station in Nampula city, accused of threatening people with an imitation firearm on a public highway on Sunday afternoon.
The individual detained denies any involvement, but Zacarias Nacute, spokesman for the provincial command of the Police of the Republic of Mozambique in Nampula, said that the man was caught threatening his victims with a toy pistol and creating disorder in the streets.
Regarding the celebration of the city’s anniversary on Sunday, August 22, Nacute said there was no record of any incidents.
