The Islamic Community of Mozambique (CIMO) has once again expressed repudiated the attacks taking place in Cabo Delgado, distancing itself and reiterating that Islam does not stand for violence, but rather with peace.
The island of Mozambique, the first capital of the country and the place where its first mosque can be found, hosted a march followed by a reflection and social gathering to celebrate the birth of the Prophet of Peace, Nabi Muhammad.
In addition to the Island of Mozambique, CIMO has held similar events in the cities of Pemba and Beira.
