China and Mozambique strengthen cooperation – Watch

The relations of friendship and cooperation between Mozambique and China are constantly strengthening, the new Chinese ambassador to Mozambique said after meeting the President of the Assembly of the Republic (AR), Esperança Bias.
Ambassador Wang Hejun told journalists that there was a close relationship between the two governments and peoples, with specific areas of cooperation at the level of legislative bodies.
Esperança Bias and Ambassador Wang Hejun discussed various issues in their meeting, with the ambassador promising continuing support for Mozambique in its fight against Covid-19.
The two countries further intend to consolidate relations in the area of economic cooperation, while China is also committed to continue supporting the Assembly of the Republic.
Yesterday, the Council of Ministers approved a resolution ratifying the credit agreement between the Mozambique government and the EximBank of China, aimed at financing the TmCel telecommunications network expansion and modernisation project.
